All Kenton City Schools’ incoming kindergarten students for the fall of 2010 will be required to have a 2nd varicella (chickenpox) vaccine before the start of school in August 2010. You can receive this vaccine at the Kenton Hardin Health Department. The cost is $10. If your child is on Medicaid, please take his Medicaid card with you at the time the shot is given. Health Department shot clinics are held on Thursdays from 8:30 A.M. till 12 P then 1 P.M. until 4 P.M.
Please bring or send proof of this vaccine to Westview Kindergarten Center, 401 Scott Ave., Kenton, Oh. 43326 before the start of the 2010-11 school year. Your child will not be allowed to attend school until this vaccine has been given.

The Kenton Hardin Health Department will be performing the 2nd and final H1N1 clinic on Wednesday- March 3rd, 2010 at Kenton Senior High School Cafeteria from 3:30 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. This clinic is for any 9 year old or younger that received either the initial H1N1 nasal mist or injection.
Any child that is 9 years old and under and has had the first H1N1 vaccine this fall is highly urged to get the 2nd free H1N1 vaccine at the Kenton Hardin Health Department as soon as possible.
