Kenton Middle School kicked off the 1st annual Hoops for Heart campaign. The event has started and will run through April 3rd. Students at the middle school have the opportunity to raise money for the American Heart Association to help fight the #1 and #3 killers in America (heart disease and stroke). The students can also sign up to be on a 3-on-3 team to play in a basketball tournament during their lunch period. The school office has information and envelopes for the event which are due back to school on Friday, April 3rd. Any questions can be directed to the school at 419-673-1237 or sign on to www.americanheart.org/hoops and locate our school.

If you can’t attend the boys basketball sectionals tonight, you can listen to WKTN’s coverage by visiting our new athletics website at http://athletics.kentoncityschools.org/. We have a streaming audio player embedded in the site for your convenience. A Flash plugin is required to use the player (most computers have this). If you don’t have Flash, there are links to download the stream to iTunes or WinAmp.
Kenton High School web site management students have been working on a new website dedicated to the athletic program. The new site currently offers rosters, team pictures, news about events, and a streaming audio player for the Wildcat Webcast (a streaming webcast of WKTN’s broadcast). We will continue to work to improve the site. You can find the site here:
