Kenton Middle School sixth grader Courtney Fulton will represent KMS at the Sheridan WorldWise Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 8, at the Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School in Columbus. Due to a scheduling conflict, auditions for the KMS Talent Show have been postponed one week. Auditions will now be held Tuesday, February 19, Wednesday, February 20, and Thursday, February 21. You will still audition at the same time on the same day of the week for which you signed up. Auditions will be held in the KMS auditorium. Please see Mrs. Ramge or Mr. Malany for questions.

KMS students Dakota Del Valle, Lara Dulin, Claire Long, Megan Nichols, Jessica Perkins, and Kate Sherman recently qualified to advance to the Power of the Pen Regional Competition. The district meet was held at Tiffin Middle School on January 19, 2008, where participants spent the morning responding to prompts in written essays. Kate Sherman also received the Best of Round award.
Power of the Pen is a series of interscholastic creative writing competitions for 7th and 8th graders throughout the state of Ohio. Schools send two teams of writers to tournaments to compete both as individuals and as teams.
The regional competition will be held March 15, 2008, at Findlay High School.

The Kenton Middle School Holiday Band Concert has been rescheduled. It will be held Thursday, December 20, 2007, at 7:00 P.M. in the KMS auditorium.

The Kenton Middle School choirs will present their annual winter concert in the K.M.S. auditorium on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at 7:00 P.M. The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade choirs and “The Dimensions” will perform a wide variety of holiday selections. The students of K.M.S. have worked very hard to prepare for this concert and would like to invite you to join them in a festive holiday celebration.
