The Kenton City Schools Board of Education will be meeting on Monday, May 15th in the Kenton Elementary School cafeteria.
2017 KHS Mini Cheer Clinic
Who: All students grades K-8 are eligible.
What: Cheer clinic will be taught by KHS Cheerleaders and coaches. Girls will learn the important basics of cheerleading and perform during the first half of the first home Varsity game on Friday, September 8th.
When: Clinic will be held on July 31st, August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 6-8:00p.m. Registration will start on the July 31st at 5:00p.m. Early Registration: Thursday, July 27th at 9-11a.m, and 6-8p.m. at KHS.
Where: High School Lawn – If rain occurs, all cheerleaders will be inside.
Cost: $25.00 (price includes t-shirt). Please make checks payable to Kenton High School.

The Kenton Middle School boys and girls track teams each finished 1st in the 2017 Hardin Co. Track Invite held at Ada on Monday, May 8th. Below are complete results from the race.
Kenton High School will be hosting the WBL Track Championship Meet on Wednesday, May 10 and Friday, May 12. Field events will begin at 4:30p.m. Ticket prices are $6/adults and $3/students. No passes will be accepted.
The OHSAA mandates that all sectional baseball and softball games charge admission. Admission prices are $6/adults and $4/students. This includes tonight’s sectional softball game at Kenton vs. Ottawa-Glandorf. Fans attending the sectional baseball game on Wednesday at Ontario will also be charged admission.
Kenton Elementary School would like to extend a thank you to the Kenton Educational Foundation Board for sponsoring the Columbus Children’s Theater event that will be taking place on May 22nd and May 23rd.
The Kenton High School girls track team finished in first place at the 2017 Hardin County Track meet held at Hardin Northern High School on Tuesday, May 2nd. The girls were lead by first place finishes in the 4×200 and 4×100 meter relays. Both relay teams were made up of Haylee Bushong, Miranda Gibson, Alex Howard and Cheyenne Newland. Gibson paired up with Ellie Miller, Hannah Holland and Paige Osborn to finish 1st in the girls 4×400 meter relay. Holland also took 1st place in the 400 meter dash.
Chris Deardorff helped lead the way for the boys team that finished 3rd place. Deardorff finished 1st in the 100 meter dash and long jump. Deardorff helped lead the 4×100 meter relay team to a 1st place finish along with Hayden Hicks, Bryce Ellis and Malik Jett.
