During the week of March 9-14, the Kenton Middle School HAPPY Team will host several events that emphasize the importance of making positive decisions.
On Monday, March 9th, the HAPPY Team will host a school assembly featuring Jim “Basketball” Jones. From his website: “James E. Jones is one of the country’s top basketball handlers and highly demanded motivational speakers. His motivational talks are animated and story-based. He explains his “Three Pointers for Life” to students and his inspirational story as an LD (learning disability) student.”
On Friday, March 14th, the HAPPY Team will sponsor their annual KMS Talent Show. This year’s show features over twenty student and teacher acts ranging from singing and dancing to baton twirling and martial arts. Throughout the show, the HAPPY Team will perform numerous skits that emphasis the importance of positive choices. Click here to view photos from last year’s show.
The Kenton Middle School HAPPY Team is made up of seventh and eighth graders who are committed to making KMS a drug-free learning environment. They work throughout the year to assist their peers in developing positive decision making skills and choosing a drug-free lifestyle.
